For the final talk of the term, Professor Janet Stewart focused on the director Raúl Ruiz’s film Klimt to discuss the relationship between art and film and if film can successfully capture the life and artwork of an artist. Professor Janet Stewart is a wonderful speaker and is currently Director of the Centre for Visual Arts and Cultures here at Durham University.
Klimt has received a mixture of reviews which question whether the director has adequately captured the importance and impact of Gustav Klimt and his works.
